Australian Made Week 2026

The Soundtrack to “Australian Made Week”

Australian Made Week is all about celebrating the people, products, and businesses proudly made in Australia.

From 18-24 May, Australians are encouraged to “swap their shop” and support local makers, manufacturers, growers, and businesses carrying the iconic green-and-gold kangaroo logo.

The Australian Made Week 2026 campaign, fronted by Australian comedian Andy Lee, shines a spotlight on the innovation, creativity, and hard work behind Australian-made products and the communities they support.

At Melodie we’re extremely proud to provide Australian music for the official Australian Made Week campaign assets — helping tell Australian stories with Australian music — while making it easier than ever to choose Australian music with just one click!

Supporting Local Creatives

Not just during Australian Made Week – but always – Australian-made purchases help support local jobs, businesses, and industries. The same is true when productions choose Australian music.

Behind every track is a composer, artist, producer, engineer, or songwriter contributing to Australia’s creative economy. Choosing local music means supporting the people creating the soundtracks to Australian film, television, advertising, and digital content.

That’s why we built the AUS filter into the Melodie platform, which was used by Hive Creative to select Australian music for this campaign.

“One of the really rewarding aspects of this job is we get to use Aussie products when we shoot our TVCs, and a big shout out to all the Australian Made products that we've used throughout this campaign.” - Ben Lazzaro, Chief Executive, Australia Made
Melodie "AUS" Filter - Australian Made Week 2026
Melodie's "AUS" Filter shows music by Australian artists only.

Melodie’s AUS filter allows creators, editors, broadcasters, agencies, and brands to quickly discover music made by Australian artists and composers – making it easier to keep Australian music on Australian screens. Because authentic Australian storytelling deserves an authentic Australian soundtrack.

Every time a track is licensed through Melodie, an artist gets paid. Supporting a thriving creative community is deeply embedded in everything we do.

Investing in Australia’s Creative Future

Supporting Australian creativity also means creating opportunities for the next generation of artists.

Through Melodie’s Indigenous Engagement Strategy, we are committed to investing a minimum of $25,000 annually into the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists for music licensing opportunities through the platform.

Our goal is to contribute to a stronger First Nations screen music economy by creating more pathways into sync licensing, royalties, recording opportunities, mentorship, and industry development.

Australian Music, Everywhere

Australian Made Week celebrates the value of backing local industries and local talent.

For us, that includes the artists shaping Australia’s cultural identity through music.

During Australian Made Week and beyond, choosing Australian music is another way to support our local creative community, ensuring that Australian stories continue to sound unmistakably Australian.
